NOTICE TO DEFENDANTS
Notice to Defendants and Service of Summons,
 Complaint, Temporary Restraining Order, and Order to Show Cause, and Discovery

We are legal counsel to Rapid Slicer, LLC (“Plaintiff”. This letter serves as notice that a lawsuit has been filed by Plaintiff against you (“Defendant”) in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Case No 19-cv-411, Rapid Slicer, LLC v. Art-House, et al. (“Lawsuit”). All relevant documents may be accessed and downloaded below.

On April 15, 2019, the Court entered an ex parte Temporary Restraining Order, Order Restraining Assets and Merchant Storefronts, Order to Show Cause Why a Preliminary Injunction Should Not Issue, Order Authorizing Service by Electronic Means and Order Authorizing Expedited Discovery against Defendants (“Order”). On April 26, 2019, upon Plaintiff’s Motion, the duration of the Order was extended and the briefing schedule and Order to Show Cause Hearing was re-scheduled (“Extension”).

Pursuant to the Extension, on May 20, 2109 at 10:30 a.m. ET, United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan, will conduct a Show Cause Hearing in Courtroom No. 8A of the Pittsburgh Courthouse, United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, located at 700 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, after which time she may enter a preliminary injunction (“PI Order”), which may extend through the length of the Lawsuit.

Please also be aware that if Defendant fails to respond to the Complaint within twenty-one (21) days from the date of this letter, it will be in default, and the Court may issue a default judgment against Defendant awarding financial damages and a permanent injunction.

Since we represent Rapid Slicer, LLC, we are unable to provide you with legal advice. Accordingly, we strongly advise that you retain an attorney to assist you in this Lawsuit.
